India tour- Heritage Sites, Too Many to Visit


India never falls back when it comes to visiting a heritage site, with a glorious past in its account; India also has a whole lot of places to be visited, from the Taj Mahal to may be Champaner Pavagadh Archeological Park.

RED FORT, AGRA
In the imperial city of Mughal rulers stands a royal monument near Taj Mahal famously known as the Red Fort. Built in red stone, it is beautiful piece of Mughal architecture.

TAJ MAHAL
Shah Jahan in memory of his wife built this beautiful huge structure of complete white marble in Agra between 1631 to 1648 very famously known an the Taj Mahal. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World admired by almost everyone

AJANTA CAVES
They are the finest example of Indian paintings and sculptures. They are considered as the masterpieces of Buddhists religious arts. They prove to be an important part of Indian heritage

BUDDHISTS MONUMENT AT SANCHI
At the site of Sanchi there is a huge monument located known as the Buddhists monument at Sanchi. It was a major Buddhist centre and is also the oldest Buddhist centre.

CHAMPANER PAVAGADH ARCHEOLOGICAL PARK
As India is famous for mixed culture this archaeological park is a perfect blend of Hindu Muslim architecture.

ELORA CAVES
It is a unique artistic creation extended over more than 2 kilo metres it also illustrates a great spirit of patience and tolerance that was one of the main characteristic of ancient India.

FATEHPUR SIKRI
This huge and great monument was built by the Mughal emperor Akbar and titled as Fatehpur Sikri it is also one of the unique form of architectural style located in Agra.

ELEPHANTA CAVES
Situated near the heart of India that is Madhya Pradesh are the beautiful example of architecture, the Elephanta caves. It basically contains a collection of rock art linked with sculptures of lord Shiva.

QUTUB MINAR
One of the longest red sand stone tower up to 7.25m high and approximately2.75 m in diameter is the Qutub Minar of Delhi located in the heart of Delhi. It was built in 13th century by a famous ruler, Qutub-Ud-Din-Aibak.

KHAJURAHO GROUP OF MONUMENTS
Finest blend of Hinduism and Jainism are the temples of Khajuraho built during the chandelle dynasty. They are one of the greatest master pieces of Indian style of art

SUN TEMPLE, KONARK
Temple of Konark is the monumental representation of sun god, .it is India’s most famous Brahmin sanctuaries was built in 13th century and is located in the shores of bay of Bengal.

The above mentioned are a few popular heritage sites of the many other known heritage sites of India. India has had many rulers in the past and with ach era came a few more architectural beauties- India has a rich heritage to offer to the world.
