What Makes P&O Cruises The Biggest Cruise Line In The UK?

The cruise industry in the UK this year is seeing even bigger growth than normal for many reasons. These include cheaper prices than ever before, along with a rise in the cost of flying. The fact that many people no longer enjoy flying due to increased security measures at airports, as well as the extended delays and cancellations seen last year during the ash cloud saga have really put people off choosing the fly to their holiday destination.

The most successful cruise company in the UK, P&O cruises, looks like it will dominate much of the cruise market again this year and it’s not difficult to see why. With a history spanning the last 170 years, their name has become so synonymous with sea travel that the quality it offers speaks for itself.

P&O Cruises have the largest fleet of all the cruise companies, which visit 270 destinations in 90 countries across the world. Their main departure port is in Southampton, which sees trips setting off to the Mediterranean, and more further afield the luxurious Caribbean. This wide variety of destinations is one of the main reasons people look for holidays with P&O cruises, as they know that there will always be something for them.

The onboard experience on a P&O ship is also something maintains their reputation. P&O cruises are catered towards the British public, ensuring that whatever food or drink you may miss while on a normal holiday, such as a cup of tea or a proper cooked breakfast, you will be able to have it while onboard. All entertainment and facilities are added to create the ultimate in experience and relaxation.

The price is another big factor in why P&O are the UK’s biggest cruise line. Unlike other competitors, which charge huge prices for trips to exotic destinations, P&O ensure that they are affordable, yet without sacrificing on the quality they offer. You don’t need to pay a big price tag to enjoy the same level of service as what you would on other ships, yet you know you are sailing with a name you can trust.

Everyone will have different reasons as to why they choose P&O, or return to use them again and again. The only way you can find your own reason is to use them yourself for your next cruise holiday.
