Medical Equipment Laser Alignment products are used to install, align and optimize the performance of MRI, X-ray and PET scanning systems.Medical Equipment Laser Alignment products are also used to align test equipment, install research devices, and in positioning, aligning and/or measuring patient tables, flatness and planer detector assemblies, and runout on moving assemblies.
Applications include:
• Machinery runout on moving scanners:
A Medical Equipment Laser Alignment products are used to measure the straightness of long machine beds; check for runout on moving slides, tables and stages; measure bend and profiles in tracks and guide rails; align shaft and drive; position bearings and shaft supports over long runs; monitor surface deflections and bending in long structures; align long rail and track sections; measure deflections on rams, actuators and extrusion presses; check roll flatness and profiles; align lathe and spindle; and measure other linear deflections.
The product—a microgage—works by projecting a straight reference laser beam over the surface or object to be measured. The receiver unit is then placed on the surface, track, rail, shaft or item to be measured. The display indicates the height from the bottom of the receiver unit to the center of the laser reference beam. Multiple measurements provide the profile of the surface.
• Positioning detector and emitting assemblies
Medical Equipment Laser Alignment products are used to square machinery and equipment; aligning the Z axis of machine tools; align belt, gear and sheave; check parallelism of tracks and assemblies; align gantry rails and cross bridges; square machine guides and pallet loaders; adjust moving actuators and drilling systems; square stacked linear stages; adjust slitters, idlers and rollers; square cross cutting systems and guides; and for various other alignment needs.
Two microgages are used—one of them creates a precise right angle laser reference line.
• Installing scanning equipment
Common applications include checking machine beds; profiling surfaces and assemblies; measuring runout in gantry and machine tools; aligning roller and web systems; setting tracks, rails and guides in place; checking flanges and circular planes; positioning machinery and equipment; assembling large weldments and fixtures; adjusting silicon wafer stager and PCB handling equipment; etc.
Instruments used include a microgage, leveler and a leveler rotational mount. |
