What is the Chinese Birth Calendar?
|
For every culture, there is some kind of symbolic reference to birth, the stars, the dates, the times and other significant factors. The Chinese birth calendar is a way to determine the gender of the child you wish to have. This had great significance in China because for many, many years, it was the custom to have only one child and nearly all parents wished for a baby boy.
There was once a law that required couples to have just one single child due to overcrowding and increased population. Boys promised a future that would be lucrative and bright while girls would be much more of a burden. Many parents would have their baby girls taken and murdered. Some people volunteered their girls for this practice so that they could have a boy instead.
This practice led to many parents searching for a way to determine whether they would have a boy or a girl ahead of time. The chart is used for this purpose by predicting what it will be. The first step is to determine the age of the mother from her conception. This would be the date nine months before her actual birth.
The next step is to cross reference her age by the month that her child was conceived. This will give a highly accurate prediction of the gender of the child. The same method can be used ahead of time if people want to determine the gender they wish their child should be by choosing a month and looking ahead of time to see what gender is predicted for that month.
It is not a difficult process and can be used on any standard calendar because the whole concept is based on the Chinese lunar calendar, which has the same months as any calendar.
Some people do not want to know if they will have a boy or a girl. Others do want to know because they like to prepare for the child to come. They want to know if they will need little pink head bands for the girls and tiny sailor caps for the boys.
Many parents choose to use the Chinese birth calendar as a means of determining their childs gender ahead of time. Many generations have passed down this knowledge to future generations worldwide.
