I Ching Is An Ancient Chinese Text

Just about everyone has heard of I Ching as it is an extremely important book.most people will not know a lot about it and what it is supposed to do. It is an ancient Chinese text which is also known as the book of changes. It is partly about a system of divination as people quite often use it to obtain insight into a problem or to get an answer to a question.
The answer is obtained by a process of reading signs or omens in a particular way. It can be quite systematic as it is ritualised so is quite different from fortune-telling. Many people choose to believe in the art of divination while many more dismiss it as being superstition.
The book of I Ching is quite interesting as it is extremely ancient dating back to before Christ. It was originally written during the Han dynasty on slips of bamboo. Some people also interpret this book for use with cosmology and philosophy and it is a very important part of the culture in China.
This text, or the book of changes encourages people to accept change as being a good thing and also inevitable. It also talks about opposites being balanced and the process of events. The book is highly structured as it is a set of statements which are divided into 64 sets of six lines. Each of these six lines is called a hexagram.
The lines can be either yin or yang. If the line is yin it is a broken line, while yang is represented by a solid line. The process of divination involves casting a hexagram and interpreting each yin and yang line.
This book is not just used for divination purposes as it is also extremely important for ancient cosmic principles. Its true that many Chinese fortune tellers use the system of divination from this book, but this book is also had a lot of influence over others. It has influenced many artists and people from all walks of life and also many philosophers.
It has influenced many Westerners to change the way they think. When used as a divination tool it can interpret natural events so that their significance and cause might be known. Fortune-telling is certainly popular throughout the world but especially in the West. There are many websites that offer I Ching readings, and it is also possible to get face to face readings with psychics. There is no doubt that many people may rely too heavily on what they are told by fortune tellers and that there are some unscrupulous people out there who will exploit those people who are vulnerable to their feelings.
