2012 Doomsday According to Nostradamus

Nostradamus is a world famous French prophet famous for supposedly predicting major events before they even happen. He wrote thousands of predictions in a certain format called quatrains; these are poems consisting of four lines. They are written in a very mysterious way that it is very mystifying to most people. Nostradamus is said to have correctly predicted events like the two World Wars, the advent of Hitler and Saddam Hussein, and even the attacks on the World Trade Center. Now that 2012 is fast approaching, believers of Nostradamus tell of a certain quatrain of his that purportedly tells of how the world will end.
"In the year 1999 and seven months The Great, King of Terror shall come from the sky. He will bring to life the King of The Mongols. Before and after, Mars reigns happily."
This is the Nostradamus quatrain that is said to foretell the end of the world. Though the year may be a bit off by a couple of years, the believers still insist that this prediction is still accurate as the calendar that was used then was different than the one we use now.
The great king of terror that is stated in the quatrain is said to be a comet planet that will slam into the earth ensuing in mass extinctions, so say the believers of Nostradamus. This comet planet, called Nibiru, is supposedly a previously unknown planet, and on 2012 its orbit and that of the earth will intersect resulting in a collision.
Believers of Nostradamus say that his prediction is further supported by other 2012 Doomsday prophecies, like the Mayan calendar, the Hopi Indians, and even the Bible telling of the end of days happening on 2012. They say that the large number of predictions pointing to a similar end gives credibility to the prophecy of Nostradamus.
The Mayan long count calendar is supposedly a very advanced calendar, said to be even more accurate than the one being used today. The Mayan calendar mysteriously ends on December 2012; this is supposedly the end of civilization as we know it. This is also very similar to the doomsday prophecy telling that a great war will come and eliminate most of the world's population. These predictions occurring at roughly the same time seems to be too much of a coincidence , so says the believers of Nostradamus.
Now, should you be worried about the coming of the year 2012? Doomsday prophecies have an awful record, almost every year you will hear of how the world is supposed to end. Remember 1999? There were a lot of prophecies that told of the world ending then, and since the human race is still here now it just means that the prophecies were wrong.
It's up to you is you want to believe Nostradamus's 2012 Doomsday prophecy. But remember this; Nostradamus wrote countless numbers of quatrains during his stint as a doomsayer, and most of them did not even happen. |
