ClickBank and the Newest PayPal Refund Policy Modifications

Issues occur so quick on-line that typically I can just about sustain with them. In case you've missed it, PayPal has announced that starting in August of 2010, there are going to be adjustments made to their refund policy. I really mentioned this in an earlier article. However, what I didn't keep in mind was ClickBank and the way it impacts them. Surprise how? Well, hold studying and you will find out.

First, I must clear up some confusion from my earlier article. I could have mentioned that the new refund coverage will now charge the affiliate or merchant 30 cents plus 2.9% of the sale price. That's an error. It is ONLY 30 cents cost per refund...a minimum of as of now. Who knows what's going to happen in the future? But for now, it is only going to price you a further 30 cents for each merchandise refunded.

However what does this must do with ClickBank? Properly, it has the whole lot to do with them. In case you are not conscious of this, ClickBank now permits consumers to purchase by their PayPal accounts. So, given that, what do you assume occurs when one of those PayPal buyers requests a refund? You got it. ClickBank is the one who has to pay PayPal their 30 cents per transaction. Do you suppose they will eat this value?

Nicely, I did not assume so. But I needed to make sure. So I contacted my ClickBank consultant and asked her. The response I obtained wasn't a particular one but she didn't foresee any changes to their coverage regarding refunds, that means that she did not see the price being passed on to us. Notice the word, foresee. Doesn't exactly make me really feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

However, that's how things stand as of this writing. I don't know what the long run holds for us. I never thought that PayPal would begin charging us for refunds, however I assume that was naive of me. After all, it DOES value them cash each time they have to course of a transaction. Same for ClickBank. Gee, I'm nonetheless not feeling all warm and fuzzy.

Anyway, this is what you are able to do to attenuate your refunds. Promote products of quality and be up entrance about issues in your sales page. I do know, it's a novel idea for some individuals, nevertheless it works. I can rely my month-to-month refunds on lower than one hand. So the extra buck out of my pocket won't kill me.

What about YOU?
