The Best Holiday Areas to Chillax

If things are all working as they should, then there will be no problem. However, we are all fully aware of how often things will go terribly wrong!

Having some time away from our day to day routine has always been a good idea, but these days it is more important than ever. Twenty-first century life is fast, engrossing and extremely demanding; this is why so many of us will become caught up in our work. However, we should all make a point of having a break now and again! If we fail to relax every once in a while it will have a detrimental effect on many different things... our relationship, our friendships, our leisure time and our health.

When we actually stop and think, it is easy to see the importance of taking time off. However, not all holiday destinations will be as therapeutic as others. For example, a week in Blackpool will not have quite the same benefits as a long weekend in The Lake District. Don’t misunderstand; there is nothing wrong with staying in Blackpool, but if you are in need of some peace and quiet, then being jostled by ‘theme park thirsty’ kids each day will not be particularly helpful!

Britain has plenty of great destinations for anyone who needs to chill. Here are a few good examples –

Scotland

A lot of people will like to go walking and this can certainly be a really nice way to spend your holiday. And if you are staying in Scotland, you will have numerous routes to choose from.
Not only that, but the breathtaking Scottish landscapes are all fitted as standard!

Derbyshire

Another beautiful place to stay is Derbyshire and it has its very own choice of laidback activities. There is the Crich Tramway Museum, Bolsover Castle and the famous Chatsworth House to visit.

Or perhaps you fancy a nice relaxing ride on one of the Peak Rail steam trains?

Cornwall and Dorset

The pace of life always seems to be that bit slower in the Dorset/Cornwall part of the country. And when you couple this with its beautiful scenery, you just know it will be a great place to stay.

Why not rent yourself once of those picturesque Dorset cottages? This will allow you to sit in your very own holiday garden and watch the world go by!
Lincolnshire

How about going for a stroll along the famous Viking Way? This cuts right through the Lincolnshire Wolds, which just happens to be the nicest part of the whole county!

It was here that Lord Tennyson would spend a lot of his time scribbling his poetry in notebooks. And once you have seen how beautiful this area is, you will understand where old Alf got a lot of his inspiration.
