Luxury Flavours and Bouquets Coming from Single Malt

When considering international locations making luxury single malt whiskies an area comes often to mind, Scotland, it's here where malt whisky with character from its surroundings is distilled. it's unusual to get a single luxury malt whisky, to be produced somewhere else. For example, Irish whisky is typically blended; bourbons from America and sour mash are also blended. Single malts are specific in that they come from just one single source that has been distilled, providing a complex flavour. There exists a lot of skill involved in creating among the world's very best luxury single malts. Indeed, just a couple of distilleries on earth create single malt whiskies.

It all began with Suntory's search for developing world-class whisky..

Japan is home to some of the very best things in life, two of those are "Sushi" and "Kobe Beef"; it's now, also home to one of the greatest single malt whiskies, "Yamazaki". "Yamazaki", is a testament to some of the very best practises utilized in the production of single malt whisky. The purity and excellence of the components, the painstaking processing of the malted barleys, the blending of yeasts in the fermentation as well as the ageing process ensure it is plain that Yamazaki is produced with all the extensive approach usual for the Japanese culture.

It ages in oak casks of about three diverse characteristics: North American white oak (adding vanilla and coconut aromas), Spanish oak (introducing fruity and chocolate aromas) and Japanese mizunara oak from Hokkaido (incense and citrus fragrances). The end result is a full-bodied luxury odor with distinctive character and exciting flavour, where each drink features a unique taste. The Yamazaki is a smooth, rich whisky with spicey and flowery fragrances, remnants of cherries, honey, and in the 18 year old, slight tones of wood. The flavour is fragile and mellow, sweet with a prolonged pleasurable dry finish. The finish of either age is awesome, suited to the custom of "mizuwari", combining with water or ice, to guarantee the luxury whisky is welcome with food.

Yamazaki has received a number of important awards, accolades, praises and scores of fans around the world. We firmly believe that the Suntory distillery produces with Yamazaki among the world's very best luxury whiskies which may be "equal to some, but second-to-none".
