Tips on How to Prevent the Corruption of Data in a Secure Digital Memory Card

Say you attended a big occasion, like a wedding or maybe your son's graduation. Of course you want to take pictures of the momentous event so you bring along your trusty digital camera. You click away at all the important happenings, making sure you never miss a single thing. Now as you get home you want to check the photos you took earlier in the day, but something seems wrong. When you load your secure digital card in your computer it displayed a nasty message, it says that your secure digital memory card is inaccessible. Getting frustrated , you load the card back in your camera, and lo and behold it says that your sd card has been corrupted. Say goodbye to the pictures of the event that only comes once in a lifetime.

It's already annoying if the memory card just contains your pictures and other random stuff, but when the card is loaded with all the essential files related to your work then there's a chance you'll be waiting in line at the unemployment office in the near future.

To prevent having your precious files getting corrupted while in your secure digital memory card, here are a few measures you should undertake:

Don't turn off the camera while the card is still inside

Don't use the same memory card for different devices, you should have one for each
Don't take any more photos if your camera is running low on power
Don't remove the memory card while in the process of transferring files to a computer

Do not format the card using a computer, use the built-in function in the electronic device

If you still encounter a situation where your data is seemingly destroyed the worst thing you can do is to panic and mistakenly reformatting the secure digital memory card, doing so will erase the data forever. In the event of your memory card getting corrupted there is still a secure digital memory card data recovery tool you can use.

Now regarding which recovery tool you will be using, you should keep these points in mind:
The tool needs to be read-only, and it should also be easy to use
It should have an interactive graphical user interface or GUI

It needs to be able to restore the corrupted data from all brands of sd cards and other types of compact flash cards

If you're going to buy the program then it would be in your best interest to first download the trial version of the software to make sure that you're satisfied with its end product. But it is still best to first make sure that you don't go about recklessly corrupting the files you have in your memory card. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure as the saying goes.

Remember that there is still a glimmer of hope even though you got your precious data files corrupted. Your precious memories can still be saved.
