Different specializations include pharmacy, general medicine and dental medicine. This third-biggest state in India has institutions such as Grant Medical College (GMC) and the Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences. GMC in Mumbai is ranked among the top ten medical colleges in India in accordance with a popular magazine. Around 100 students take admission into its MBBS course every year and approximately 50 students into its nursing course. The institute provides education in fields such as medicine, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, urology, reconstructive surgery, psychotherapy and biochemistry. |
