You know you have faced it, you're right in the midst of some important school project, online game, or working on a layout project, and suddenly your computer just starts operating as if it is in slow motion. The next thing to check for a computer running slow is your system resources. Even if you have enough RAM installed, your computer might be running countless programs and services at one time it is eating it all up. Look at your Task Bar and anything you don’t think you need, remove from startup. Many programs are needless and use quite a bit of your system resources for no purpose.
Should you be still asking yourself why my computer is so slow you need to now check and ensure that your hard drive disk is not fragmented. Make sure to run a full system scan and defragmentation. This can put the pieces of data the computer stores in a more orderly way inside the drive, making the files run more consecutively.
Hopefully one of these four above reasons has worked and now has made your computer fast. If they have not, you could perhaps have some kind of hardware failure. You might be able to check some of these; however, without the proper diagnostic tools it might be difficult.
