Purpose of Buy to Let Mortgages

The buy to let mortgages system is a new real estate strategy which has been developed for consumers who want to earn money through leasing. This system has been very popular in the United Kingdom and other European countries. This type of mortgage has been created by the banks and lending companies in order to resolve the imbalance in the economy. When the mortgage was established, a severe financial crisis was present. The lower and middle class were facing major financial problems. Most of the people belonging to this group in society lacked the money to fund their homes and houses. Due to this, people were evicted since they were not able to pay for the loans and mortgages needed. In order to deal with the problem, the government convinced the banks to establish the mortgages. The mortgages would allow the people from the upper class to invest in houses. Once the people from the upper class are able to pay at least 60 percent of the amount needed, the house would be leased to a person in need. The monthly earnings would be used to complete the mortgage. The mortgage is designed to use the money of people from the upper class to help homeless citizens who can only afford to rent houses.

The buy to let mortgage has been used by many major banks in the country during the time of the recession and financial crisis. This is to deal with the misallocation of resources in society. The top 10 percent of the population are the ones which hold 50 percent of the total money and commodities. The major discrepancy has led millions of people to face financial problems and disruptions. This resulted to the repossession of homes and real estate properties. That is why the government intends to divert the resources owned by the upper class to help the suffering middle and lower class. The buy to let mortgage has been offered by the government as an investment option to people who have the money. Tax exemptions have also been given to attract the people to invest. No processing fee for the deed of sale would be asked from the owner.

Through the mortgage, the person investing money can earn it back immediately since the houses bought would be leased by the bank to people who have been evicted. The good thing about the mortgage is that the investor would only need to pay 60 to 80 percent of the total amount. The rest of the money needed can be taken from the monthly fees given. It would help the investor and tenant living in the property.

The buy to let mortgage were able to assist millions of homeless people all over the country. That is why the program has been continued by many banks and lending companies. It has reduced the cases of homelessness by a large margin. The cooperation between the government and private sector paved the way for the success of the project.
