All Purpose Copper Tube For Home and Office

The discovery of Copper is probably one of the best achievements of humankind. Used extensively since the ages, copper tube is another great contribution of this red metal. Other equally important derivatives of copper are copper wire, and copper strip. So integral has this metal become that today, no builder can just imagine of household fittings without using these be it in single-family homes, high-rise apartments and industrial, commercial and office buildings.
Advantages of copper tubes:
One of the main reasons for using this in household appliances is that it is strong, and corrosion resistant. Copper tubes are known to be great as carriers of water. Hence, it is used mainly in plumbing, heating and air-conditioning industries. Nowadays, there are many companies that deal exclusively in manufacturing these tubes for engineered plumbing systems for new and retrofitted residential, industrial as well as commercial installations. Among the other advantages of these tubes apart from being good conveyers of water is that you can fix the joints using simple methods. They are versatile, has variety of applications, comes in wide range of sizes, gives problem-free performance, are long lasting and maintenance free and has high thermal conductivity
Classification of copper tubes:
These standard tubes are divided six types depending on their standard and application. They are K, L, M, DWV, ACR and OXY, MED or OXY/MED or OXY/ACR ad ACR/MED.
Applications of copper tubes:
Copper tubes are used in a variety of applications in home and office. It has been used successfully in underground water and gas services, water distribution systems, chilled water mains, drainage and vent systems, heating systems (including solar), fuel-oil systems, oxygen systems and non-flammable medical-gas systems. Copper wiring is also at the core of today’s modern communication systems.
Raw materials used in copper tube
Copper wire stripped of its insulation is used in small proportion while making copper tubes. It is also made from old tubes removed from demolished buildings. Apart from this, the common form of raw material used is the so-called "home" or "runaround" scrap generated within the tube mill itself.
