Port Dickson is a beachside resort situated in Malaysia and it does contain many of the things you would normally associate with a holiday destination in this location. There are many things for both couples and families to do and due to where it is you do not have to spend an absolute fortune for any part of it.
There are a number of hotels that you can choose from should you be creating the holiday by yourself and the best part is you should be able to find something for yourself no matter what your budget might be. You should spend a bit of time looking over what is available prior to actually booking and even if you have bought a package deal it can still be good to see what previous guests have said about the hotel that you shall be going to.
You are lucky in that there are a number of amazing beaches in the area for you to go to and they are kept nice and clean so you shall find that they are ideal if you have children. With there being several in the area you should be able to find a relatively quiet spot on them as they should not be too crowded at all.
There is more to do than just sitting on the beach and for people with children it can be worth your while going to visit places such as the ostrich farm or the mini zoo. They are relatively cheap to visit and they shall easily take up an afternoon at least and it is always good for your children to interact with the different animals.
Some people prefer to pick up some information about the culture associated with an area and to do this you should perhaps go and visit Fort Kempas or Cape Rachardo. They can help to build the picture about the area and how it developed from the time of the settlers from abroad and if you enjoy history it can be an interesting time.
Back at your hotel though you should find that they are going to have a number of different activities that can certainly keep children entertained. While they are doing this you can of course treat yourself to being pampered a bit as most hotels have a spa facility for you to go to and since it is your holiday you deserve to relax.
So Port Dickson should be looked at as being a friendly and very safe resort situated in Malaysia where you can sun yourself on the beach in the amazing conditions or partake in other activities should the weather turn nasty. Moving away from the beach area can let you explore nature and the history of the area which should also really help to take up several days of your holiday.
