Solar PV

Why go solar?

It’s a question more people are beginning to ask as the prices of electricity soar once more. Paying for pricey electric services through the utility companies isn’t a pleasure, but it’s something that we all have to endure. If you want to use electric in your home you’ll have to pay a price for the energy; it’s as simple as that. However, there is another way you can power your home and it’s through a Solar PV panel. The Solar PV panel harnesses the light energy that is emitted by the sun and converts it into electricity to power the home, or heat the water in the premises. Like the sound of Solar PV technology? Specialist installations can be carried out within private properties by experienced Solar PV professionals.

And it works how?

Ok, here’s the interesting bit. To benefit from Solar PV power a panel needs to be fixed to your roof, known as a Solar PV collector. This collects the light emitted from the sun and sends it via DC connections to a DC/AC inverter. AC power runs from the inverter through a credit meter to the household consumer unit. From here it travels to all electric points within the property. It’s so simple, and once you have a Solar PV system operational you’ll make savings on your electricity bills straight away. Systems are designed and installed by experienced Solar PV companies who’ll be happy to conduct a survey at your home.

Feel the benefit

Once you have paid for the Solar PV system to be fitted you’ll immediately start to recuperate the costs. Not only will Solar PV generate around 50% of the electricity you need to power to your home, you’ll be running an environmentally friendly system at the same time. Some customers finds their Solar PV system generates more electricity than they actually need and this overspill can be sold back to utility companies who in turn sell it on to other customers. Or, if you prefer, you can store unused electricity in batteries ready to use on damp and dreary days. Cut the costs of your electricity bill and go green at the same – have Solar PV fitted at your home.
