Passing time on a flight

Often when taking long flights (and even shorter ones) it can be difficult to find something to do to keep the traveller occupied and to make the flight more pleasurable. Whether on an aeroplane for a package holiday or on a private aircraft, passing the time on long haul flights can be something which can be planned and prepared for. There are obvious things to do such as reading a book but this is not always ideal especially with younger children or for those who feel travel sick when reading and flying together. Although newspapers and magazines offer shorter articles to read there are other things which can be done to better pass the time. Portable games consoles are popular especially for younger people and these can often be used to watch films.

Some people may choose to work on a flight, often taking a laptop on board; this can often be an opportunity to prepare for a business meeting or presentation.
