Exceptional luxury watches from Glashuette

Many exciting times have been characterised right through the history of Glashuette Original. However, throughout everything, one thing has always remained the exact same for the manufacturer of some of the very best luxury timepieces and that is their love for which the business have manufactured and have followed the true spirit of long-established watchmaking.

The account of Glashuette began back in 1815. Ferdinand set up his first watch developing corporation with a vision for an self-supporting Saxon industry around luxury timepieces that focused on high precision and were to be made exclusively in small numbers. The municipal coat of arms of Glashuette has been in existence since 1912, in reflection of the city's history, which was characterised by mining along with watchmaking. The original outstanding developments to come from Glashuette were the three quarter plate, the winding by crown and the lever escapement. From there the name went from strength to strength. As the intercontinental demand for the luxury precision watches from Glashuette rose, they needed to hire more expert artisans and this saw the entry of Moritz Grossmann who had seen fame with his luxury pocket watches.

At some stage in the 50s all of the companies belonging to Glashuette evolved into one. For the period of this time, some of the very best luxury timepieces that were targeted for everyday use were made, along with pocket watches and chronographs. In particular, the marine chronometers from Glashuette were a sensation until 1978 In the spring of 1995, there was a new appearance by way of a collection of three-handed automatic luxury timepieces. To highlight the 150th anniversary of Glashuette one of the most luxurious and the most intricate of luxury timepieces was highlighted, the Julius Assmann 1. The watch was said to be one of the very best, high end and a true work of art; it could either be used as a pocket watch or a wristwatch and featured a flying tourbillon and perpetual calendar.

the brand gained the title of wristwatch of the year in 2001 and was in front of their opponents, one of the highlights for the corporation was the PanoMaticChrono. There was a redesign of the Senator and while the timepiece remained a classic, it came with a up to date twist. The name has been involved with any of the most brilliant items but one thing has remained at the forefront, the corporations enthusiasm and superiority. Tribute items for Alfred Helwig and Julius Assmann, which were limited edition models, were commissioned and were confirmed masterpieces.

Today these watches are still the among the dream collection of lovers of fine and exquisite watches
