Ford Endeavour is a sports utility vehicle manufactured by the US auto maker Ford. The company sells two versions of the car in India. These are Ford Endeavour 2.5L 4x2 and Ford Endeavour 3.0L 4x4. The company has priced the car competitively in the country. Endeavour 2.5L 4x2 is sold at the ex-showroom price of around Rs. 16 lakh, while Endeavour 3.0L 4x4 is sold at ex-showroom price of around Rs. 18.4 lakh.
Ford has overall length of 5060 mm, overall width of 1788 mm and overall height of 1826 mm. The car, with wheel base of 2860 mm, has ground clearance of 210 mm. The car has kerb weight of 2014 kg and fuel tank capacity of 71 liters. The 5-door car has capacity for seating of 7 persons. The 2953 cc engine of the car offers power of 156 PS (115Kw) @ 3200 rpm and torque of 380 Nm (38.7 kgm) @ 2500 rpm. The car offers mileage of 15 km/liter on highways, 9 km/liter on city roads and overall it offers mileage of 13 km/liter. The car can run at the maximum speed of 137 km/hour.
The high-end Ford Endeavour 3.0L 4x4 is equipped with latest features. The features of the car include air conditioner, power windows, power door locks, power steering, cup holders, folding rear-seat, rear wash wiper, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, central locking, steering adjustment, tachometer, front fog lights, rear defroster and leather seats. The model is also equipped with safety features like anti-lock braking system, driver air-bags, passenger air-bags and child safety locks. Fold Endeavour is sold in the Indian car market in the following colors - diamond white, panther black, brush steel, mystic wine and jeans blue.
The other cars sold by Ford in India include Figo, Ikon and Fiesta. Ford is bullish about the fast growing Indian auto market. The company had launched its small car Figo in India in March 2010 to tap the fast growing compact car market of the country. The car is sold in both petrol and diesel variants. The car competes with Maruti Swift, Chevrolet Beat and Hyundai i10 in India. |
