An Overview Of Some Top HTC Rhyme Tariffs From Orange And O2

The HTC Rhyme is one of the more stylish handsets currently on the Taiwanese manufacturer’s smartphone roster, and offers good value for money for the features it has and the benefits it provides for users. If one was to purchase the SIM free handset (allowing you to insert a SIM card with the networks and tariff of your choice) the phone would cost around £354.

However, if you take out a contract with a particular network, you can get the handset for free, and pay a monthly fee which includes a specific allowance for calls, text messages and data usage for a given month. In this article I will look at some of what I believe to be the best contracts offered by UK networks and what you get for your money.

O2 Bonus 300 + Unlimited + 500MB
This is a contract currently being offered by the O2 which is one of the most popular networks in the UK. When you take out this contract, you get a free HTC Rhyme handset, along with a specific package of monthly allowances. The contract lasts for 24 months, and costs £27 per month. For the monthly fee, you get 300 minutes of free phone calls which can be made to any UK network and at any time of the day. This should be fine for average use, and if you go over this allowance in a given month then standard charges will apply. In terms of text messages, those who send a lot of texts should find this the ideal package as you can send an unlimited amount of text messages every month. The internet allowance for this tariff is 500 MB per month, which is more than the average UK user should require. This allowance relates to internet browsing over O2’s 3G coverage, but Wi-Fi internet browsing is free and has no limits, which is ideal if you have a Wi-Fi network at home or at your workplace. Overall, I think this package offers good value for money. A free HTC Rhyme, a decent amount of free calls and unlimited text messages is a generous offer for the relatively low price of £27 per month in my opinion.

Orange Panther 20.50
This package is offered by Orange which is also one of the major players in the UK mobile network market. As the name suggests, it costs £20.50 per month, and also lasts for 24 months. Being cheaper than the aforementioned O2 package, the allowances reflect this. A free HTC Rhyme handset is included as part of the deal, but the amount of free phone calls is somewhat lower. You get 100 minutes of free calls per month, so is ideal for those who are on a tighter budget or do not use their phone as that often. However this is somewhat offset by unlimited text messages and 500 MB per month of 3G data usage. The only real difference between this package and the O2 deal outlined above is the lower call allowance, so if you do not plan on using the phone call function very often, you can save £6.50 per month.

There are many more tariffs available from O2 and Orange for the HTC Rhyme, as well as Vodafone. If you follow the link below, you can browse all the available HTC Rhyme deals to find the package that suits you best.
