SMS Usage On The Rise Thanks To Phones Like The Blackberry Bold 9900

The days when mobile phones were used predominantly for conducting voice calls have disappeared. A recent report suggest that SMS messaging is currently the favoured method for people to keep in touch with one another, especially with teenagers.

In 2010 teenagers spent around 685 minutes talking on their mobile phones but in 2011 that figure dropped to just 572 minutes.
