There are thousands of free books which can be instantly downloaded, as well as premium titles which require a fee to be paid before they can be downloaded. Downloading books in the iBooks app is similar to downloading apps in the AppStore, and similarly, payments are made with your iTunes account.
If you own an iPhone 4S and another Apple device like an iPad 2 or MacBook Pro, you can take advantage of the iCloud service to integrate your iBooks library on all of your devices. With iCloud activated, when you download a title on iBooks, it will automatically be found on any other compatible Apple products you own. Because iBooks is developed by Apple rather than an independent app developer, you can expect flawless performance and integration with other Apple services like iCloud, further enhancing the appeal of the app.
