Various Forms of Geothermal Heating and Cooling Systems

The wide variety of geothermal heating systems available today can confuse even an expert!People prefer geothermal heating system because it is efficient yet cost effective. As we all know, climate change is a major problem that occurs in the world, so it is vital to conserve energy as much as possible. These geothermal heating systems do not require any non-renewable energy source, so you do not need to pay heavy taxes to federal government. They are widely available and can be used both in the summer and winter.
During the summer, the system transfers heat from the home to the ground. And in the winter, they transfer heat from ground to interior of the house. Choice of geothermal heating system depends on various factors such as soil, climate, local expenditure and land area. Horizontal loop system is one of the kinds of geothermal heating system. It is a best choice for people living at higher attitude. The land required for installing a system such as this is quite large. Although efficient, the system takes a lot of time and effort to install. The best way would be to dig deep channels and loop them together. The advantage of a horizontal system is that it is reasonably priced.
Another type is the vertical loop geothermal heating and cooling systems. They are usually used by smaller homes. To install these vertical loops, you do not need to dig a deep hole. These are adjustable in shallow depth. Landscaping is an important aspect to consider. You would require a minimum length of 4 inches for this type of system.
Before installing these vertical loops, just measure total area of the house to fix. This system uses two large pipes. These pipes are connected to the pipes for free flow of water. This type of system is also highly efficient. Open loop systems are also widely used. This type of system can be used for areas located near a water body. They are reasonably priced and eco-friendly.
