Understanding Geothermal

Today, world is facing various crises. It is a two-step process of both reducing carbon footprint to conserve energy as well as looking at alternate sources of renewable energy. Experts are constantly looking at cheap, safe and dependable sources of energy. Among these natural resources, geothermal energy is one of the amazing source and since the beginning of the time, it is serving people. It's been in use for a long time.
There are broadly three ways to use geothermal energy - electric power generation, direct heating and heating pumps. The inner temperature of the earth is going to be rises. At around 7600F, it can incinerate anybody who comes in contact with it. But we all have constant and sustainable supply of heat at the upper layer of the earth that we use to keep warm our homes and buildings.
There are many devices available in the market that you can use to take advantage of this energy. Mostly three categories are very famous such as open loop geothermal heating and cooling system, vertical loop geothermal heating and cooling system and horizontal loop geothermal heating and cooling system. Open-loop is generally the most preferred system available. It is ideal in areas, which are located near water body. They utilize heating source of underground aquifer and pounds. Horizontal and vertical geothermal heating and cooling system are also known as closed loop system. They derive their energy from water and anti-freezing agents. Now we will discuss about, how geothermal heating and cooling system works in our homes and commercial buildings. Closed loop heating systems are better for residential systems as they are buried into the ground.
A mixture of water and environmental friendly anti freezing agents pumped in to these pipes. During winter, this mixture draws heat from the ground. During summer, the ground removes heat from this mixture. This concept applies to horizontal systems too, except for one difference. These pipes are buried at a more shallow depth. These geothermal heating and cooling system are available in very reasonable price and also lower down your water heating bills by 35%. These systems call for a lot of initial investment, but they can give you long-term, tax-free benefits!
