Sexuality and eroticism

Sexuality among human beings is the ability to develop erotic feelings and the ability to generate responses according to it. It is the way a person gets sexually attracted to the opposite sex (heterosexuality), to the same sex (homosexuality), to either sex (bi sexuality) or to no one at all (asexuality). The way any human being acts sexually makes difference to the political, legal, cultural and the philosophical aspects of his life. The reaction to sex is also gender specific i.e. under similar circumstances a man and a woman will never act the same way, there has to be some differences,
Sexuality has been and will always been a topic that attracts the interest of all. Since the ancient times itself sexuality has been a topic of high interest and it will be the same forever in future. The human body and the art of making love have long back been used as a mode of inspiration for art work. They were used in ceramics, sculptors and paintings. And in most cases the genitalia is extended in order to establish the authority and power in man. The fact that sex and eroticism are two different factors can only be shown by man since they can only show sensual behavior.
Such form of art that involves body contact and physical touch is called sensual art and it helps attain satisfaction through visual, audio and imagination. Erotic literature is also a kind of literature that deals fully with sexuality with very detailed stories and poems, manuals and novels. The erotic literature of the early days constituted the combination of earthly and heavenly objects. What better a book can there be than Kama sutra written in the fourth century describing the different positions of making love in minute detail.
Our society has not yet approved sexuality and hence every piece of sexual art or sexual music is unacceptable in our society even now. There are cultures that have music where sexuality and spirituality has been mixed. Sex has and will always remain in art starting from the ancient ages and will go through the ages since it is a very human and artistic form of expression of making love. Listening to sex music can build a heavily erotic and passionate atmosphere that can heighten the levels of eroticism in your lovemaking thus turning it into a heavenly experience. Sexuality will always remain there in different forms to heighten our pleasures. |
