Vitamin Supplements: Your Secret Beauty Product

There are many vitamin supplements that can work just as well as some of the most expensive beauty products at a much lower cost, in addition to providing nutrition your body needs. What could be better? From a whole range of vitamin B’s to others, like vitamins D and E, here are just a few of the beautifying secrets from the world of vitamins.

Vitamin D: If you want to maintain healthy teeth, nails and bones, vitamin D can be an ally. It also helps fight acne and promotes a healthy heart, nerves and skin. Find it in bone meal, cottage cheese, eggs, fish, fruit, milk and various vegetables. You can also get it from the sun, but make sure to wear some sunscreen, because sun damage can cause premature aging over time.

Vitamin E: Classified as an antioxidant, vitamin E promotes healing and delays the aging process through the promotion of smoother skin and new cell production. Find it in asparagus, corn, eggs, green leafy vegetables, mussels, vegetable oil, wheat germ, whole grains and yeast.

Vitamin B1: This vitamin, also known as thiamine, is known as an effective treatment for digestive problems, fatigue and skin problems such as eczema and shingles. If you want to avoid nervousness and tiredness and prevent some nasty skin disorders, eat niacin-rich foods like beef, bran, brewer’s yeast, brown rice, egg yolk, lamb, milk, mushrooms, peanuts, soybeans, sunflower seeds, walnuts and wheat germ.

Vitamin B3: This vitamin, also known as niacin, promotes the growth of healthy organ tissues and promotes blood circulation, which both lead to better skin. It’s good for the muscles, too. You can find niacin in brewer’s yeast, brown rice, lean meat, organ meat, peanuts, poultry, rhubarb, seafood and wheat germ.

Vitamin B5: This vitamin, also known as pantothenic acid, helps to promote healthy skin and prevent cellular damage due to overexposure to the sun, which can lead to wrinkles and sunspots. You can find it in beef, cauliflower, egg yolks, organ meat, peanuts, rice and whole grains.

Vitamin B6: This vitamin, also known as pyridoxine, plays many important roles in women’s health, but it is also a beauty secret due to its metabolizing effect on skin tissue, which helps eliminate dry skin and lips as well as disorders such as eczema and dermatitis. It is also believed to help prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Find it in supplement form.
