Guide The Republic

If you are reading this SWTOR class guide then you either dont know what classes are available to choose from or you know this but dont know which one that you want to pick. This guide will help you understand a little more about the available classes and hopefully have your mind set on which class you want to play as when the game is released (20.12.2011).
The Two Big Sides
The two main sides that will determine the classes that you play from will be the Republic and the Sith Empire.
If youve done your research then you know the Sith empire was destroyed by the Republic but now for the game the Sith Empire are striking back with no mercy and one goal destroy the Republic.
The Republic
If you choose to be part of the Republic then you will have the choice of the following characters:
Jedi Knights
Predicted to be one of the most popular characters the Jedi are also known as the peacekeepers of the galaxy. Equipped with a lightsabers a Jedi knight is extremely dangerous when it comes to close combat and even at long range they are just as deadly with access to their force powers (throwing, pulling, pushing etc) and the ability to throw your lightsabers too.
The downside to the Jedi is that their armour is just leather robes which do make them faster however it does mean that the decreased defence is something that you have to be aware of.
Smugglers
Smugglers would have thought to have been part of the Empire however they prefer freedom so are fighting for the Republic.
When picking the smuggler class you can either choose to be a gunslinger who is a dual gun wielder who deals a lot of damage on his own or you can choose to be a quieter smuggler with one pistol but also a belt that makes you invisible which can make you a very good assassin.
Troopers
Troopers are the heavy hitters of the Republic. The troopers have one of the best defences in the game making them hard to kill and with all the weaponry they carry they are a hard enemy to beat. With heavy machinery a trooper can slice through a number of enemies quickly which makes them effective in group and solo play!
As you can tell from the SWTOR class guide the 3 classes have their advantages and disadvantages and may take a while to think over and maybe even more research into!
