A Look At SOme Photography Apps On The iPhone 4S

As you may know, the Apple iPhone 4S comes with an 8 megapixel camera, meaning that high quality photos as well as high definition video footage can be captured with the handset. The camera is impressive and comes with a good list of features as standard, but if you look in the AppStore you will notice that there are a number of photography apps which can improve the camera further. In this article I will look at a couple of the photography apps and the benefits they bring to users.

360 Panorama
As you can probably tell from the title, this app allows users to capture 360 panoramic shots using the standard camera hardware of the iPhone 4S. Once you have taken your initial photo, the app will then display a frame which you must line up to take the next photo, and this process then repeats several times until you have completed the 360 degree view. The results are impressive and you will have an interesting and professional looking panorama, so if you are a photography enthusiast you can use your iPhone 4S rather than have to carry extra camera equipment. This app costs just £0.69, so you can have a lot of fun with this app for a very low price.

Face In Hole
This is a very entertaining app which allows you to take an existing photo of a friend’s face, and superimpose it onto an image of which there are several to choose from. For example, you can put your face onto iconic images like the Mona Lisa, Santa Claus, Superman or a bodybuilder. This app is a lot of fun, and the results are actually rather impressive. If you take your time and use the app properly, the results look realistic. This app is so much more convenient than using a computer and photo editing software like Photoshop, which can be very time consuming. Again, this app costs £0.69 which is a small price to pay for the fun you can have with it.

GroupShot
If you have ever tried to take a photo of a group of family or friends, I’m sure you know that it is not always an easy task to take the photo at a moment where everybody is ready. With GroupShot, you can take several photos of a group and you will then be presented with thumbnail images of them. You can the edit the photo by superimposing the best parts of each shot that you took, so it looks like the photo was taken with everybody smiling or posing as desired. If you like to keep photographic memories of family and friends, this is an ideal app for you. It is easy enough for the whole family to use simply by performing simple drag and drop tasks using the touchscreen, and at £0.69 I think it represents good value for the benefits it offers.

Photography apps perfectly demonstrate how apps can take advantage of the existing hardware on the iPhone 4S, and how versatile the handset can be if you take the time to browse the AppStore.
