The autorun is a feature of the Windows 95, that enables the media and the devices to launch the programs in a file called the autorun.inf. Steps for deleting the autorun.inf virus from the USB Drive
For removing the virus from the USB first plug in the USB drive to the computer. As the window dialogue appears on the screen, be careful for not clicking on the “OK” tab, rather press “Cancel”. Then go for the command prompt and then type the USB drive letter on the command prompt. Type in dir /w/a. Press enter and you will be able to see a list of files that are stored in the flash drive. Remove the files from the USB mentioning autorun.inf , ntdelect.com, Ravmon.exe, New Folder.exe, kavo.exe, svchost.exe. For removing the files from the USB type del and then the filename for the removal. For example you can type F: del ntdelect.com, and then press “Enter”.
For securing the USB, run the antivirus scan on the USB for deleting all the suspected files and threats from the system. You can also take the technical support o fix computer related issues. |
