The Samsung Galaxy Note Update Bring Better Functionality To The Device

The Samsung Galaxy Note is one of the most popular smartphones on the market thanks to its large display and superb processing power. Samsung have been listening to feedback about the device from thousands of users and have introduced an update to their TouchWiz UI that brings a few improvements to the model. We take a look to see what users can expect from this update.
The Samsung Galaxy Note includes a very large 5.3 inch screen. This size of display makes the phone perfect for viewing photographs and media files but it also causes some minor problems in other areas such as text inputting. Single handed typing on the Galaxy Note has always proved a difficult task as it is nearly impossible for the users thumb to reach all areas of the screen. The new update to the user interface gives you options for realigning the keyboard layout so that it is positioned towards one side of the screen. This means that users can easily reach all keys with their thumb and the keyboard can be adjusted to suit both left handed and right handed users. In addition to these changes Samsung have also decided to make better use of the large display by placing a row of numeric keys towards the top of the screen. This means that numbers and letters can be displayed on the same page rather than requiring the user to switch between a keyboard and a numeric keypad. A number of other small improvements have been made to the model including an updated lock screen that is similar to the one used on Android Ice Cream Sandwich devices and a dedicated Torch application that makes use of the LED camera flash.
The improvements made to the Samsung Galaxy Note interface should ensure that this excellent model continues to be a big success with consumers. The models unusual screen size has made it appeal to not only smartphone users who require a large display but also to people tempted by a tablet device but who have been deterred by the physical size of such units. It is not only the excellent screen that appeals on this model but also a host of other great features that make the phone stand out from the competition. The Galaxy Note comes supplied with a stylus called the S-Pen. Rather than acting like a traditional stylus the S-Pen offers a number of interactive features that control how the phone behaves. A great example of this is when you press the button on the pen and then double tap anywhere on the screen. When you perform this action a notepad appears over whatever you were previously viewing so you can take notes or quickly write down an important number. This can then be saved so that you can return to it at a later time.
The excellent user interface updates for the Samsung Galaxy Note really do benefit the operation of this superb model. The changes also show that Samsung listen carefully to feedback from consumers, an area that is sadly neglected by numerous other phone manufacturers.
