Visit Great Golfing Destinations in France

France is a superb destination to truly enjoy a range of holidays such as camping, skiing, fishing, cycling, and many more. There are plenty of reasons why people choose France as their holiday destination. Ferries Dover are available to explore great places. Whatever the reason, correct planning beforehand can help you enjoy your holidays while avoiding a lot of hassle. Interesting activities like carting, golfing, kite surfing will certainly charm you and make you occupied. Cross channel ferries are undoubtedly still the most conventional choice and people find it more practical.

No doubt, France is considered one of the most popular tourist destinations among all European countries. It's also a great destination for a golfing holiday. If you're in search of a golf weekend or golf holiday, there is so much choice, but if you want a slightly cooler climate than the South of France, then the regions of Brittany, Normandy and Pas de Calais are good options, plus with well over 130 golf courses that are ideal for most handicaps along with very reasonable green fees, the short trip across the channel by ferry or short flight can make for a very reasonable weekend break with your golfing buddies.

While many regions of France such as Pas-de-Calais, Normandy, Brittany, the Champagne and Alsace regions, Aquitaine, the French Alps and the Loire Valley attract golfers, nothing can match a game of golf played at Le Touquet. Le Touquet is situated just 70 km south of Calais. So, you can get a cheap ferry to France and arrive in a fantastic seaside resort in next to no time. Le Touquet La Mer is an outstanding course - a wonderful golfing experience from start to finish. It's not for novices and even experienced types may find it quite unforgiving.

Le Touquet is definitely one of the most popular golfing destinations in the north of France, that attracts many tourists from the UK. It is also the most easily reachable destination via channel ferries. Le Touquet has always been a favourite of golfers and for good reasons. Apart from world-class golf courses, it's an ideal place to enjoy the night life. This lively seaside resort has many wonderful restaurants and pubs and is an ideal place to spend an evening. And, whether a novice or a professional, Le Touquet has a golf course for everyone to enjoy the game.

Nearby, Hardelot de Golf has two splendid golf courses, Les Pins and Les Dunes which are perfect for both beginners and professionals. The Dunes was designed and built in 1990 by Belgian architect Paul Rollin and has many natural areas and undulating land and golfers will likely enjoy a challenging match here. Le Pins is a 18 hole golf course and was built by the famous British architect, Tom Simpson in 1934. This course has hosted many championships and is ideal for professional golfers.

One well known area is Provence and the Cote d'Azur which have golf courses from Monte Carlo to the Pyrenees and one of these would make an ideal destination for a longer golfing holiday especially with the climate.
