Having a winter ready vehicle usually means it can be that much easier to drive safely in rainy weather conditions.
Becoming more attentive to other drivers is the third thing to bear in mind. Not everyone else could be expected to observe equally responsible driving habits as you during the winter, so a bit of extra attentiveness is required. For example, if roads become icy as well as slick, more careless drivers might not slow down enough and could slide right into you, causing an accident. If however your attentiveness, and also the other features described, is where it must be, you may well be able to avoid such an accident by simply looking around more often and driving accordingly.
