How do Educational Toys Stimulate my Child?

The majority of children’s toys will help stimulate your child in some way; even action heroes. Whilst they may seem just a gimmicky toy, they will help stimulate your child’s imagination, developing story skills and creativity. Toys and stimulation are vital in your child’s life as they develop. Hydes Toys and Gifts Ltd recognise the importance of encouraging the development of your child, which is why we stock such a wide range of toys for children of all ages. Here’s a list of what toys stimulate what part of your child’s brain:

Puzzles – these are a great way of extending your child’s creativity and engage their minds for longer periods of times. These puzzles could be anything from jigsaws to something like the My First 3D Spelling Puzzle. The brilliance of a puzzle is that it is an ongoing activity that engages your child for a longer period of time, giving them a sense of achievement when they complete it. Puzzles are a great way of stimulating the part of your child’s mind that engages in activities, aiding their concentration span.

Construction & Crafts – toys that allow your child to build or create something are again a great way for stimulating their imagination and extend their concentration over a long period of time, rewarding them with a sense of achievement once they’ve completed it. Equally, they are something that can help them interact with their friends and family, as they can be played alone or within groups.

Inquisitive toys – give your child a toy that will inspire their exploring nature. Something that makes different noises for example. This allows them to explore and discover and encourages them to be inquisitive and explore the world, naturally encouraging them to learn and explore things that are unfamiliar to them.
