Travelling Whilst You Are Travelling

If you are heading off travelling, then you need to know that you can easily get around, whilst you are away. Many people assume that the easiest way to see as much of Europe or the world as possible will be by plane, but in reality the cheapest and easiest way to see the places you wish to see will usually be by train and boat.

With many countries offering train tickets for extended travel (such as Europe’s InterRail), having the flexibility to see what you want, when you want is far greater if you avoid planes. Not only are you likely to save a great deal of money but you also will not have to worry about how much luggage you are taking.

Not only are there cheap train tickets available to help you get around for as long as you are away, but ferry tickets can also be found at incredibly low prices. Foot passengers are likely to find that they can get cheap ferry tickets to go from port to port at a fraction of the cost of a flight and in the process ensure that they can see as much of the areas they are travelling to as possible.

A plane ticket can instantly drain a huge amount of any traveller’s budget, whereas ferry tickets can be bought on spec easily and quickly, allowing people to change their plans as often as they like without the worry of having to stick to pre-booked flight plans. Whilst cheap ferry tickets will be available right up until sailing if you look on the right websites, the cost of flights will go up dramatically nearer the date of a flight. As such, using planes as a means of travelling will restrict you both financially as well as in terms of how flexible and spontaneous you can be.
