Why do we have to remember about change management?

Running a company is permanently variable today. Nobody, even the most experienced expert in making forecasts, can assess accurately what might take place in the future. That is why, while we are talking about long- term, developing projects, we should remember about really crucial types of web project management - changing management.

There are many causes why backers of a project require some changes in its schedule, scope or even in goals. The biggest part of it has its causes outside a project - then we call it outer determinants.
The most typical reasons of this pattern are the following:
- Market conditions - rival goods, focusing on opinion making bodies, changes of the requirements of customers etc.
- Legal system - regulations which are changing (internationally, nationally, locally…) etc.
- Appearance of the newest outcomes - technological progress, research on discoveries, introduction of new tools etc.
- Changes in clients' company - restructuring, acquisition, financial problems etc.
- Social and political determinants - political crisis, regional communities' protests etc.
Certainly, these examples are merely a part of the full list which is probably ever-lasting.

On the other hand, problems have their sources inside a project as often as outside a project. These reasons are usually called internal. They have different meanings but we are able to divide them into some categories:
- Errors in project planning - all of faults cause inappropriate suppositions, assignments, schedules, resources… Obviously, it could impact on changes during practice only if we want to rich even a part of accomplishment.
- Structural changes in a firm - internal restructuring, modifications of tasks, changes in a board of directors and migration of employees can impact on a project.
- Problems with resources - absence of financial and human resources, devices, equipment and even offices do not have to be an effect of bad planning operation but for example of changing priorities in board of directors' point of view.
- Human indicators - it is truly significant, and repeating in all of the projects, indicator. It can concern project manager, team members, suppliers and associates.

It is quite easy to cope with these both internal and external issues when a project team uses web project management tool which helps supervising project changes and evolution.
Essential advantages of these types of software are highly linked to net processes which are commonly used in today's businesses. It helps team members with cooperation and communication wherever they are, whatever they do.
