Zanzibar is one of the top tourist destinations in Africa. The Zanzibar is famous for its charming history and its implausible and incredible beaches. Zanzibar is located in the Indian Ocean. Basically it is located on off the shore of Tanzania. Million of tourists come to watch this beautiful place. Zanzibar is a natural trading center during its all history. Zanzibar is famous for its different features and spices. When Zanzibar was under the Arab rulers it became a significant trading slave post. In Zanzibar you can see the great influence of Arab culture. If you are planning a tour to Zanzibar, the Stone Town will be the biggest attraction for you. Many tourists love to go to Stone Town because it is one of the biggest attractions in Island. If you are planning to visit a Zanzibar there are many places which can attract you. The Zanzibar’s most famous places in tourists are Stone Town beautiful traditional houses, a Sultan’s palace, UNESCO world heritage site, many mosques and narrow alleyways.
Zanzibar is in the Indian Ocean and it is 25 miles away from Tanzanian coast. And it is located 6 inch south of the equator. Zanzibar is situated in Indian Ocean and its length is 60 miles long and the width is 20 miles, covering a total area of almost 650 square miles. The beautiful sandy beaches are the major attraction for the tourists. Million of tourists come to watch these beautiful sandy beaches. In Zanzibar you can’t see many animals. In Jozani you can see monkeys, antelopes and bush pigs. On island you can find many species of mongoose. In rural areas you can see many different birdlife and different and large number of butterflies. Islam is the leading religion and most of peoples are Muslim. You can also see Hinduism and Christianity followers. The population of Zanzibar is estimated at 800,000. and only the population of Zanzibar city is has 100,000 people living. The language which is used in Zanzibar is Swahili. This language is widely spoken in East side of Africa. Many of tourists come in to the most famous event every year which is Zanzibar International Film Festival.
This festival is also famous as the name of Festival of the Dhow Countries. This event is carried out in July each year. In this Zanzibar International Film Festival the best features are Swahili Coast art scene and the Taarab which is the favorite music of Zanzibar. The present President name is Amani Karume . Zanzibar is an island area surrounded by the United Republic of Tanzania. The government is doing remarkable work for the promotion of tourisms and they established Zanzibar Commission for Tourism. The local people of Zanzibar are used to do fishing and agriculture. It is the main economic activity. Zanzibar is one of the largest producers of cloves. The coconut products are also the main export of Zanzibar. The tourism is one of the major industries of Zanzibar. Many of tourists come to watch these sophisticated beaches.
