Avoid Malls, Outlets and Superstores – If you don’t mind long lines and the hustle and bustle that comes along with shopping at these stores, they are worth pursuing since at holiday time they offer some of the best deals. However, specialty shops and even your local pharmacy have some cool items you can pick up quickly and easily without the fuss.
Use Coupons and Shop in the Clearance Section – Save big and find some tucked-away bargains where others may not look.

1) Gift Cards. Gift cards are a no-brainer and make great stocking stuffers. They’re a bit more personal than cold, hard cash – though no one can resist money – and there’s one for almost every interest in every price bracket. There are gift cards for movie theaters, restaurants, stores, music downloads, etc. You can buy them online or pick them up by the checkout counter in your favorite store.
2) Fruit Baskets with interesting arrangements. People love something healthy and this is a nice gift. People up north love to receive delicious oranges.
3) Gym Membership, Gear or Equipment. Holidays bring good fellowship, good fun and good food. With all that good food comes added pounds, and as the winter months set in, people tend to become less active and more sedentary. A gym membership, some new sweats or a hot new piece of exercise equipment may be the needed boost to help a loved one keep it moving during that time.
