Cameroon is officially known as Republic of Cameroon. Cameroon is situated in west Central Africa. Cameroon is bordered by Nigeria to the west side, bordered by Chad to the north east, bordered by Central African Republic to the east side and bordered by Republic of Congo to the South. The Cameroon’s President has wide, independent powers to establish policy, manage government agencies, authority the armed forces, discuss and approve treaties, and declared a state of emergency. The President is elected by voting after every seven years. The people of Cameroon also elect the mayors and councilors in smaller municipalities. Corruption is very common in many government institutions. In Cameroon anti corruption bureaus is also established in 1997. The anti corruption bureau only stopped corruption 25%. According to Transparency International Cameroon is at number 138 in the corruption. The whole list is consists of 168 countries.

Human rights organizations are working in the Cameroon for the stop of torturing cultural minorities, criminal suspects and homosexuals. The prisons of Cameron’s are over populated and there is no medical facility and poor quality of food is provided. The literacy rate for males is 77% and 59% for females. Many children use to go to fee schools which are run by the Government. Some children use to go to private and religious schools. The education course is a combination of British and French. The attendance rates in Cameroon are highest among other African countries. Boys attend schools regularly than the girls. Girls attends school less because of their early marriages, family duties and cultural attitudes. Medical facilities in Cameroon are very low. Medical equipments are dirty. The common diseases in Cameroon are dengue fever, malaria, schistosomiasis, sleeping sickness, filariasis, leishmaniasis and meningitis. People of age 15 to 49% are also affected by Hiv Aids. The total infacted peoples are 5.4%. Cameroon is 53rd biggest country in the world. Million of tourists come here and many of them write literatures about Cameroon that it is ‘Africa in miniature’. It means that Cameroon represent whole Africa in a small area.

The Cameroon exhibits all main climates, mountains, coast, rainforest, desert, vegetation of the continent and savanna. Cameroon economy is also very good. The GDP per capita is also the highest among the sub Saharan Africa. Cameroon exports it products to Spain, United Kingdom, Italy and South Korea. The currency of Cameroon is CFA franc. Unemployment is the major problem of Cameroon and many peoples are living below the poverty doorsill. World Bank and International Monetary Fund are helping Cameroon to reduce the poverty. Tourism is one of the growing divisions in Cameroon. The areas of Cameroon’s which are popular among tourists are Coastal area, Mount Cameron and the north side. Many peoples are related with agricultural. There is vast farming of bananas, coffee, tea, oil palms, rubber, cocoa and tobacco. Coffee is a main collide crop in the western high grounds. About 5000 people are related with fishing and provide about 20,000 tons of sea food annually.
