One can also undertake motorboat racing in the beaches of Goa. Other trendy beach sports include swimming, volleyball, and angling, fishing and snorkeling.
The Carnival of Goa is celebrated in the month of February and is a foremost tourist attraction. Goa Carnival is all about celebrating with food and drinks and meeting near and dear ones. It’s one of the joyous event held in Goa. The Carnival of the city begins with huge processions, music and danc, people participating in the parade are stunningly dressed. Other individuals are also colorfully dressed. The Carnival is a sight of complete enjoyment and fun. The ending of Carnival is carried out by the performance of dance known as the Red and Black dance.
Goa is well known for its churches which has the Portuguese architecture and primeval temples such as the Shanta Durga Temple, the Mangueshi Temple and the Mahalasa Temple. The Bom Jesus Basilica is the World Heritage site in Goa and it has the earthly remnants of St. Francis Xavier. After every twelve years the carcass is taken out for worship and for community to see.
The city of Goa has majestic forts some of them are Tiracol, Aguada, Chapora and Cabo de Rama. The city also has a small number of museums. The Goa State Museum and the Naval Aviation Museum are the imperative ones. Feni is the most accepted alcoholic drink in the city and is prepared from the fruit of the cashew tree.
