CTET- Explore The Opportunities In Teaching


It is the knowledge era that we live in and knowledge indeed is power. In today world where every person is trying hard to beat the competition, only he survives who has knowledge about his goal and the determination to achieve it. today’s youth is hooked on to the internet for the most basic things like socializing and the internet has become his best friend as it provides him with a plethora of information which arms him with confidence. Choosing a career and building a strategy to attain one’s goal have been easy by the internet which provides all the desired information at the click of the mouse.

For the youngsters who are looking to make a career in teaching, the CTET exam is the best option to get posted as a teacher in government schools. Again, internet helps in this regard by collecting all the information related to the CTET under one single website. The website provides a detail about the way this prestigious exam is conducted and the eligibility of the candidates who can apply for this exam.

Teaching has always been considered to be a noble profession. And with the development of the education sector, the government is investing hugely in schools and colleges. This makes the demand for good teachers to rise considerably. Also the salaries of the teachers have been revised and it compares to the other jobs in the public or the private sector. Not to forget that teaching in government school means lifelong job security and limited working hours. The CTET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and the governing body if the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the government of India. The examination is conducted every year and any person who wishes to sit in the exam has to fill a form and give a written examination thereafter on the scheduled date. The fee for the form has been fixed at rupees five hundred for the candidates belonging to the general category and rupees two hundred and fifty for the candidates who belong to the SC/ST and other backward categories.

The next exam of CTET will be held in the year 2012 the forms for which are available from the fifth of November 2011 to twenty fifth of November 2011. The form can be submitted offline as well as online. The last date fixed for the submission of the forms is thirtieth of November 2011. But in case of candidates who reside in the remote corners of the country, a grace period of seven days is allowed. This means that their forms will be accepted up till the seventh of December 2011.

The date for the examination for the year 2012 is twenty ninth of January. The test will be conducted in two shifts and will consist of two papers, each one of which will be of one and a half hours of duration.
