Leeds Bradford parking may be busy in run up to Christmas

Many people make use of the fantastic Leeds Bradford parking facilities now available and it seems as though demand for such vehicle storage provisions may rise over coming weeks.
According to Owners Direct, it has seen an increase in enquiries for sunshine destinations in the run up to the festive season as people seek to escape the unforgiving British weather and head off to warmer shores.
It revealed a rise of 40 per cent in terms of the number of enquiries made by consumers compared with the same time last year. Among the most popular destinations were Balearic Islands, the Canaries and the Caribbean.
Of course, those making use of airport parking at Leeds Bradford may be heading to many other destinations.
Meanwhile, Owners Direct also noted that most of the enquiries are for destinations that are within a few hours flight of the UK. However, there has also been a rise in interest for more far flung locations. For example, the numbers of enquiries for holiday homes in Thailand and the Cape Verde Islands have risen by 58 per cent and 70 per cent respectively.
The firm's marketing manager Angela Southall said: "As the UK has had the coldest summer for over 20 years, it's not surprising that people are seeking out some winter and Christmas sun. Despite the economic gloom, many people seem to be looking for a white Christmas of the sand variety this year."
She went on to point out that there are many different places for people to choose from, meaning it is easy for consumers to make their dreams of a "white sand Christmas" come true.
In the light of the potential rise in demand for foreign holidays, it may pay off for individuals to make their Leeds Bradford parking reservations sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. |
