The Stylish Samsung Wave 3 Features A High Resolution Touchscreen

The Samsung Wave3 is the latest in the Bada OS-powered range of handsets. Like the Wave and the Wave 2 it offers a good spec list encased within a slim and stylish handset and makes for a great alternative for those who are not won over by the staple Apple and Android smartphones which are dominating the market.

In this article I will provide an overview of some of the key features of the Samsung Wave 3.

Screen
One of the most impressive features of the Samsung Wave 3 is its 4 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. This has a resolution of 480x 800 which means that on screen imagery is displayed in the utmost quality and clarity. Upto 16 million individual colours can be displayed by the screen, so photos and videos appear sharp and clear, and games and web pages also look great. The screen also has all the features you would expect from any new smartphone; from multi touch input, accelerometer and proximity sensors, and even handwriting recognition.

Internet Browsing
The Samsung Wave 3 is perfectly equipped to browse the internet, using the most efficient means of connection. In areas where 3G connectivity is available, an HSDPA connection allows speeds of upto 14.4 megabytes per second. This matches the download speeds achieved by such smartphones as the HTC Sensation and the Apple iPhone 4S. Of course, Wi-Fi connectivity is also provided, so users can browse the internet without using their data allowance, when they have access to local wireless networks.

Camera
When choosing a new smartphone, many people look at the quality of the built in digital camera as one of the most important features. The Samsung Wave 3 delivers in this respect, and although it may not be as advanced as many competing handsets, it has all the features necessary to take good quality photos and videos. With the standard seemingly at 8 megapixels, the 5 megapixel unit on this handset is still capable of producing good results. The resolution of the camera is 2592x 1944, and it can capture video footage in 720p HD. The camera comes with touch focus, autofocus, LED flash, smile & blink detection and image stabilisation, so it has plenty to keep photography enthusiasts busy. Many of these features can be set to automatic so the camera remains easy to use.

The Samsung Wave 3 has several other strings to its bow; microSD connectivity, expandable memory, powerful 1.4 GHz processor and the latest version (v2.0) of the Bada operating system with TouchWiz UI over the top. If you are looking for a stylish alternative to the popular iPhone and HTC handsets which everyone seems to have these days, I recommend a closer look at the Samsung Wave 3.
