TV Aerial Installations– Process For Installing An Outdoor Antenna

The main purpose of an outdoor TV antenna is to receive clear signals from a nearby broadcasting tower. No special skill or training is required for setting up an aerial. All you need to have is: an installation kit, technical tools (screw driver, nut, bolts, nails, an electric tape, pliers, hammer and bolt jacks), gloves and a user manual. You can also hire a TV aerial installation agency for this purpose however, if you’re running short of bucks, you can easily do it on your own.

Visit the local broadcast tower location website and enter your area pin code. Locate the direction of the nearest broadcasting tower pertaining to your area. Note down the directions and get ready for TV aerial installations.

When you visit your roof or terrace, use the compass to locate the broadcasting direction. Orient the kit according to the noted directions. Place the main antenna set on the roof. Make sure you keep it at a safe distance from a tree or other wires. Drill small holes and insert the screws. You can use an electric screwdriver for screwing them up. Secure the bolts and remember to apply a good quality silicone sealant to protect them from moisture. Secure them tightly and keep it there for one hour.

Next, loosen the screws present around the collar of the antenna and place the pole on the rear side of the aerial, making it pass through the collar present at the upper side of the brackets. Run this pole down until it comes in contact with the bracket bottom and rotate the rods present on the aerial. Shift them towards the broadcasting direction. Now secure the screws present on the collar.

Screw the ends of your coaxial cord into the coax output located on the rear side of the aerial. Run the cable alongside the rooftop, down the sides of the wall till it comes near the location where your television set is located. You can fix the cables using an electric tape, roofing staples or pins. It would be better if you use a staple gun because stapling the cable is the best option. Connect the free end of the table to the television. Make sure you seal the drilled holes with sealant to prevent the entry of moisture. Now that you’re familiar with TV aerial installation process, you can easily save bucks by doing it yourself.
