From Ball Pens to Meteorological Research, Tungsten Carbide has Many Uses


Tungsten carbide is a metal that has multiple uses across industries. For instance, the ball point pens that we use often have a tip comprising a miniscule tungsten carbide ball. * In the agricultural sector, carbide bearings are used in a valve at the orifice of sprays to control the amount of fertilizer being sprayed on crops. The valve can be adjusted to control the amount of pesticide being sprayed.
