Blogging 101- 5 Things to Do to Get The Most From Each Blog Post

What do you do after you publish a new blog post? Do you have a routine you follow? Are you getting the most out of your blog posts? .
When it comes to blogging, we all know that just publishing a post isn't going to be enough. You need to drive traffic to it. There are many thing you can do to get the most out of each blog post, from link building, pinging to bookmarking and the rest. It takes time and hard work to write a quality blog post, and you should do what you can to get all the benefits possible from each post.

Here is what I personally do after each blog post, to get the maximum value from it. I have to say that I have been getting great results following this simple routine. It has helped me with link building, traffic and SEO in general. I would suggest spending a few minuets after each blog post to bookmark and ping your post, build backlinks for it and basically get the word out and make sure that you get the maximum value from each and every one of your blog posts.

Ping your blog post
Word press automatically pings your posts, and of course there are few plug-ins out there that do the pinging for you. But, there are a few problems with using word press's built in pinging service and plug-ins which explaining it takes a whole another post. I simply use pingler to ping after each blog post. Its free and you can add your own list of pinging services as well, and it takes only a few seconds. Pinging will get you a lot of backlinks which can help you with your SEO.

Bookmark your blog post with onlywhire
There are a few ways to bookmark, from manual bookmarking to automated tools. I use a free plug-in called onlywire. With a few clicks I can bookmark my blog post to 40 or so top social bookmarking sites. You can use any method or tool you like. Bookmarking is another great way to build backlinks for your new post, as well as getting some free traffic.

Bookmark your blog post on Xomba
Xomba is a great social bookmarking site where I manually bookmark each of my blog post. The reason I do this manually is because onlywire doesn't have this one. I have been getting a lot of traffic and good results from xomba, plus you can earn ad sense revenue from your bookmarks on xomba.

Tweet you blog post
Again there are a lot of tools and plug-ins that can help with tweeting. I use the free Tweetmeme (wp plug-in) which with one click lets me tweet my new blog post, building some links and getting some free traffic.

Submit your blog post to article directories
Article marketing is a great way to build backlinks and one of the best free ways to drive traffic to your blog. So, I simply wait a few days until my blog post is indexed (which I can be sure that my blog gets the credit for being the original site where the content was published), then I submit my new blog post to a bunch of dofollow article directories, which gives me both a lot of quality backlinks, as well as targeted traffic. Some time I do change the post a little bit to make it more "articl-ish" if you will, so it will be a better fit for article directoires I submit it to.

These are a few things I do after each and every new blog post I publish on BlogStash. It has been working greatly for me. Whether your trying to make money with your blog or just wanting to have your thoughts red by others, this method will help you get your blog in front of more readers. It takes you less than 5 minuets to do all of this, but it's well worth it. So, if you want to get the word out about each of your new posts, build a lot of quality backlinks to your post, and drive traffic to it and know that you have gotten the most out of your new post, take 5 minuets and do what I do after each new blog post.
