Marketing and Advertising - Leverage the Internet for your Business!


"There are tons of people online, but I still CAN'T make any sales!"

Before we get into the advertising and marketing strategies to increase your business exposure, you need to first determine how you are going to establish a "Know, Like, and Trust" factor among your prospects before they will buy from you. You can do that one of two ways; leverage the credibility of another person or brand to boost yourself as a credible resource or you focus on self-development and become a person of VALUE! Put yourself in the shoes of your prospect and ask yourself, "Would I buy from me?" or "Would I work with me?" If the answer is, "No" then you need to find out how to become more VALUABLE.

Once you understand the mindset of why people buy, then marketing and advertising are EASY!
Assuming that you have a system in place that BRANDS you and positions you from a standpoint of CREDIBILITY, you can then focus on Marketing and Advertising. There are tons of different strategies, and strategies within strategies, but it all comes down to traffic and conversions.

There are only two ways to generate LEADS Online - With TIME or MONEY!

When you start generating leads with MONEY, you can start pulling in leads RIGHT NOW! You could generate your first batch of targeted leads by the end of today. Some great resources to begin with are Facebook PPC, Youtube PPC, Banner Advertising, Solo ads, etc. Generating leads with MONEY is awesome! If you are in home business and you have a job, these are great methods to leverage your time to build your business even with no available time. It's all about Resourcing and Outsourcing to be able to get to the lifestyle you want. The problem with generating leads with MONEY is that when the money stops, the leads sources stop as well. I look at it as giving your business a jumpstart while you are still figuring everything else out.

When you Generate leads with TIME, it takes a little bit longer to start generating lead flow, but like residual income - you will get paid in traffic over and over again just for doing the work once and remaining consistent. My favorite strategy for FREE leads is setting up a blog, and posting a 500-700 word article on a daily basis so that your content that you write one time will continue to produce leads consistently. You could also use the more popular methods of exposure such as Social Media in general like using Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Linkedin, and other sites to generate social interaction for your business and get social exposure - A great place to sneak in Testimonials. Free Classifieds like craigslist work can help get you some temporary traffic.

Although you may be looking at taking your business to the online world, don't forget to promote offline. Meet-up groups are a great way to meet new people. Setting up LOCAL Facebook Events and craigslist events like a "Cashflow" game day are great tools to attract business minded people. Make sure to do things that DIRECTLY impact your business on a daily basis like making sure you are talking to a lot of people on a daily basis.

The biggest thing that I would recommend is to pick one strategy and master it! Once you master the strategy, then you can move on to something else because you don't want to make the lead generation process complicated for yourself.
