Personally, I have had a wisdom tooth extraction on all but one of my wisdom teeth. The last of my four third molars has not erupted to the surface and my dentist told me that a wisdom tooth extraction would not be necessary unless it began to cause problems. Although not a wisdom tooth extraction from the Mayo Clinic, the most recent wisdom tooth extraction that I experienced was only a year ago and the dentist let me keep the tooth. I keep it as a lucky charm to remind me of the wisdom tooth extraction experience. Having my wisdom teeth removed was not the funfest experience of my life, but a wisdom tooth extraction is not as bad as people had described. |
