Bloemfontein it is a Dutch word which means fountains of flower. Bloemfontein is the capital city of the Free State region of South. Bloemfontein is situated in Central South Africa. It is located in the south edge of Highveld at an height of 1400 meters. The area is generally smooth with occasional hills. The temperatures are usually very hot and the maximum temperature is 32 centigrade and minimum temperature is 19 Centigrade. Snow is rare in Bloemfontein. The last snow on this city was on 26 July 2007. The Bloemfontein has many suburbs which are Heidedal to the east and Bainsvlei, Fauna, Fichardtpark, Fleurdal, Gardeniapark, Langenhoven Park, Park West, Pellissier, Hospitaalpark, Kiepersol, Generaal De Wet is on the south side of Bloemfontien.On the north side of the Bloemfontein the suburbs are Langenhoven Park, Arboretum, Bayswatar, Helicon Heights, Waverley and Panorama Park. The main black suburbs are Phelindaba, Bloemanda, Bochabela, Rockland, and Phahameng. The historic Batho is the place where Maphikela House.
There are many sports which are famous in Bloemfontein are football, Rugby, cricket, soaring, motor sport. The Free State Stadium and the nearby sports compound is the main sports site in the city and region. The site was the hosting stadium for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Many matches played in Bloemfontein. There are quite a few other sports places in the city, though, including services belonging to the university, schools, colleges and sports clubs. Bloemfontein’s has home of two rugby teams. The central cheetahs who played in super 15 and Free state Cheetahs who play in the domestic cup. In 2005 the free state Cheetaha won the Currie Cup. This is the home ground to rugby players. Cricket is also very popular in Bloemfontein. The Eagle cricket team is very famous and it is representing Free State and Northern Cape. There are many venues which are from domestic and international cricket. Soaring is most attractive game in the Bloemfontein.
Motor sport is also very famous in Bloemfontein. There are many education institutions are in the Bloemfontein. The institutions are pre-schools, colleges and universities. In schools colleges and universities many different languages are used for the teaching purpose. The primary education institution names are Laerskool Universitas, Willem Postma Primary School, Grey college Primary School, Legae primary, Rakgonne primary. The secondary schools in Bloemfontein is Technical High School, Bloemfontein High school, St. Micheal’s School, Eunice High School, Brebner High School and C&N sekondere. There are many recreational places in the Bloemfontein. Visitors to Bloemfontein have the exclusive chance to interrelate with cheetahs, lions, leopards, and tigers, as well as with other animals that haverescued at the Cheetah Experience in the suburb of Bainsvlei. The Bainsveli is only on the 5 min drive from Bloemfontien. Touching of animals is allowed and coming face to face with these creatures outside of a zoo environment is a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed.
