How Nonprofit Email Marketing Allows You to Meet Your Goals Affordably

Nonprofit email marketing is the ideal way for non-profit organizations to raise funds to fulfill their mission as well as promoting their advocacies. Email marketing can be done at a very affordable price while allowing you to reach a potential audience of millions of people in a short period. In addition, email marketing is also a great way of building relationships with your subscribers so they'll willingly support the causes you espouse. And email marketing campaigns can use a series of emails to progressively build up interest in a particular event, such as a conference or a gathering.

One good tool for nonprofit email marketing is the email newsletter. This allows the nonprofit to regularly inform their constituents about the latest developments on their advocacies as well as their upcoming activities. Focus on making the article interesting without relying on graphics since these may not display correctly in the email. To break up the article and make it easier to read, use subheads and keep your paragraphs short. Since many people read their emails on their smartphones, you might also want to ensure that the formatting of your newsletter can be easily viewed on smaller mobile phone screens.

To make the newsletter more valuable to your subscribers, you should include useful content such as statistics and tips since these will give them worth as reference material and make it more likely that they will be archived for future use. And make sure that you maintain a regular publishing schedule in order to keep your subscribers interest although you should also make sure that your newsletter has significant content and you re not sending it just for the sake of keeping a schedule.

You could also create a striking subject line in order to ensure that the subscriber will keep reading. Keep in mind that your subscribers are probably busy persons and if you don t hook them with the subject line, they ll probably not read your email or even delete it altogether. Make the subject line as specific as possible and stress what benefits the subscriber can get from reading your email. And ensure that the From field clearly identifies that this is an email from your organization by including its name or the name of your campaign.

If you are planning to use your nonprofit email marketing efforts to raise funds or ask for volunteers, you should make the request as personal as possible. Have an officer of the organization, preferably the head of the group, make the plea directly to subscribers. Then make it easy for them to respond, either by putting a link that they can click on or a contact number that they can call.
