Rashmi Kamani through the Zuri Group’s Kamani Foundation serves local communities in Kumarakom with timely help and resources. The one thing that most concerns Rashmi Kamani is providing timely medical help to the people in Kumarakom. With the help of the Zuri’s Kamani Foundation, Rashmi Kamani tries to contribute in whatever way possible to help the poor and needy.
Rashmi Kamani is a person who strongly believes that wealth should be put to good use through charitable causes. Rashmi Kamani firmly believes that charity begins at home. Rashmi Kamani like his father who set up the Kamani Foundation feels that he can make a difference in the lives of many people.
Rashmi Kamani’s father set up the artificial limb centre in Rajkot, Gujarat through the Kamani Foundation. Rashmi Kamani continues his father’s vision and goal of helping physically challenged people. Rashmi Kamani knows that his father felt the need to make physically challenged people self reliant and give them back their self respect to live in the mainstream society.
It pains Rashmi Kamani to see so many physically challenged people unable to afford artificial limbs. Rashmi Kamani feels that if artificial limbs are available for free then it would help these people to lead better lives. Rashmi Kamani through the Artificial Limb Centre in Rajkot focuses on disbursing artificial limbs and medical aid. Rashmi Kamani feels that the physically challenged need a lot of medical assistance and guidance which can be given through the Centre.
Rashmi Kamani out of his busy schedule ensures that the Centre conducts regular camps in association with social bodies in any part of the country. Rashmi Kamani also ensures other facilities to be provided at the camp like plastic callipers, metal callipers and crutches. Rashmi Kamani wants to serve these people with compassion and care. Rashmi Kamani wants to spread the awareness among more and more people about the availability of artificial limbs to physically challenged people.
The Junagadh District Automobile Association in Gujarat requested Rashmi Kamani to conduct a free camp through the Artificial Limb Centre in 2002. Rashmi Kamani was very happy with this camp as 800 needy people got the benefit of the same. Rashmi Kamani through the Foundation and the Centre has served 11,278 people with 13,830 number of medical aid. In Goa, Rashmi Kamani was pleased to help 105 people with artificial limbs and walking aids. Rashmi Kamani was delighted with this success and he looks forward to giving more help in the future.
Rashmi Kamani feels that much more can be done in the future. Rashmi Kamani feels that more such camps should be organized and dedicated to providing help to the physically challenged people. Inspite of being a successful businessman, Rashmi Kamani does not think about spending money to contribute towards society. |
